“But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.” (James 1:4)
We live in a world that wants everything instantly, but the things of the Kingdom grow like seeds: first the blade, then the ear, then the full corn in the ear. God is not only interested in what He gives us; He is interested in who we become while we wait.
“My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.” (James 1:2-3)
- Trust the Process of God
Seasons of testing are not signs of abandonment; they are classrooms of maturity. What God allows, He uses.
“…knowing that tribulation worketh patience; And patience, experience; and experience, hope:” (Romans 5:3-4)
- Hold On to the Vision
If God has spoken, His word will come to pass at the appointed time. Delay is not denial.
“For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.” (Habakkuk 2:3)
- Wait Actively
Biblical waiting is not idleness. Keep serving, keep praying, and keep doing good while you wait.
“And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.” (Galatians 6:9)
- Draw Strength from the Lord
Those who wait on the Lord exchange their weakness for His strength.
“But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.” (Isaiah 40:31)
Faith receives the promise, and patience keeps us standing until it manifests.
“That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.” (Hebrews 6:12)
